Yosakoi Sakado
Today, I would like to introduce an event in Sakado City where the school is located.
Sakado City hosts yosakoi festivals every year.
I put so much effort into the character of Sakado City with the motif of Yosakoi Dance.
By the way, what is Yosakoi?
There seems to be a meaning to say “Come at night” in Tosaben (the word of Kochi Prefecture), and it is based on Naruko dance in Kochi Prefecture, but it seems to be OK if you put a folk song (old song) with Naruko (what you have in both hands) in any dance or costume.
Please come and see it! I’m sure you’ll want to dance too.
The 4th Cultural Presentation
The cultural presentation, which celebrated its fourth anniversary this year, was a wonderful event that left a lasting experience for us.
The students who gave presentations with all their hearts gave excitement and smiles to everyone.
I spent two years in school in East Asia, my daily classes, and the friends and teachers I met.
It is likely to have announced it while remembering various things. I was grateful, and I was told that I had been growing for two years.
The presentation of all second-year classes and volunteer groups from three countries received a lot of cheers and applause.
In the final performance, the teachers delivered a stage that became a career woman and WithB in Toa this year, and it was a surprise that the students would be pleased.
We were able to have a lot of guests come on the day.
All the students who have prepared a lot and worked hard to this day, the supported teachers, thank you very much!
A commemorative photo was taken with the whole class. The costumes are lovely!
The singing voice is echoed in one heart.
We also made our own panels!
“Gangnam style” cool in black and sunglasses!
I express the world of the theme song of the animation and sing it.
“TT” dance with colorful costumes!
There was also a class that announced the original senryu.
Taro Urashima’s play. The result of a lot of practice of the narration and the actor has come out!
The dance “Mighty Gara” by Nepalese volunteers dances beautifully.
It is a powerful performance of “Mongolian Bufu” sumo by Mongolian volunteers.
Sri Lankan volunteer “Janna Rata Wata” I sing about my hometown.
2016 freshman athletic meet
On November 2, 2016, the 2016 Toa School of International Foreign Languages Athletic Meet was held successfully. About 280 first-year students were divided into a red team and a white team, and six competitions such as relays were held. We all worked together as a team and worked hard in the cold. The students and teachers became one, and it was very exciting. The students who didn’t play cheered on their classmates and laughed and shouted together. As a result, the red team won the championship 180 to 155. And the best class was B7, and the MVP student was Mr. Chomi of A12. The red team was given the championship trophy and each winner was given a prize. Above all, I was deeply moved by the smiles and energy of the students. Finally, I would like to express my gratitude to the teachers who prepared for the athletic meet. Thank you all for your hard work. Let’s have another fun athletic meet next year!
Picking up fallen leaves
In November 2016, students in the A6 and B7 classes volunteered to pick up fallen leaves. We grouped up and cleaned it happily using brooms and terns. There were a lot of fallen leaves in the tree-lined trees from the school to Kitasakado Station, but thanks to everyone’s cooperation, the road became clear and clean after an hour, and the feeling became refreshing. The students were able to have a very meaningful experience while having fun. I thanked my neighbors, and I was very happy and rewarding, and I was working hard. It was a volunteer activity where I was able to learn the joy of doing something for people and the gratitude for people. I want this experience to be useful for my future life and learning. I would like to continue to make exchanges and contributions with the local community.
Evacuation drills
Today, with the cooperation of the fire department, we conducted an evacuation drill in an assumption of a fire. Everyone, please acquire the knowledge learned in the evacuation drill firmly, and use it in the event of a disaster.
Toa Yukata Fair
Each and every one of us was able to experience yukata. It was a good time to have a good time at school. The teachers were very tired, too.
